My author colleague at Red Rose Publishing is known in the literary world as the “Queen of Tease!” for her interracial romance books featuring Black women and White men. What is your writing routine once you start a book?
My writing style is pretty much the same. I usually do a rough outline of the book by deciding on the characters names and what their occupations are going to be. I try to get into my character’s heads as much as I can, so I can feel like I’m one with them.

What about your family, do they know not to bother you when you are writing – or are there constant interruptions?
My family is wonderful. They know what when I sit down at the computer it’s my time to write and I don’t usually get too many interruptions.

What do you do to relax and recharge your batteries?
I love relaxing in the bathtub with a good book or just watching one of my favorite television shows. J

What truly motivates you in general? In your writing?
I’m truly motivated by a giving person who doesn’t ask for anything in return. I think it’s a wonderful quality to have. I’m motivated by my characters and giving them the HEA they are constantly screaming for. My fans are also an outstanding motivation.
